People often ask me why I modify mostly BMW models, the truth is that I don't, I'll modify anything!
I like BMW because you very rarely have to strip engines and that helps to bring down the costs of the build, this sometimes cannot be avoided though. I've never had a BMW k-bike aka the flying brick not start with some fresh fuels and may be a pump and they are good for 100k plus miles.
Heritage: BMW has a long history of motorcycle manufacturing, known for their engineering and performance.
Customization: Many enthusiasts enjoy customizing BMW bikes, often focusing on cafe racers, scramblers, and touring models.
Quality: BMW bikes are known for their durability, advanced technology, and comfort on long rides.
Performance: Typically equipped with powerful engines and innovative features, BMW bikes often excel in handling and stability.
Japanese Bikes
Variety: Japanese manufacturers like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki offer a wide range of bikes, from sportbikes to cruisers.
Affordability: Generally, Japanese bikes tend to be more affordable and offer good value for money.
Customization Culture: There is a vibrant custom scene for Japanese bikes, particularly with models like the Honda CB series and Yamaha SR.
Performance: Japanese bikes are often praised for their speed, agility, and technological advancements in sports models.
Conclusion
Choosing between BMW custom bikes and Japanese bikes largely to modify depends on personal preference, riding style, and desired features. Both have rich cultures of customization and offer unique experiences for riders.
